Assassin Builds for Diablo 2 covers many popular and niche builds for the Assassin, one of the seven available Classes in the game. Assassin Builds in Diablo 2 usually use one of three Skill Lines to focus on, and those are: Martial Arts Skills, Traps Skills, and Shadow Disciplines Skills. Builds can of course dip into other Skill Lines, but they will usually focus around 1 or 2 Skills, increasing other Skills in those Skill Trees, since doing so generally passively increases the effectiveness of the main Skill you are focusing on.

Best Diablo 2 Assassin Builds

  1. Lightning Trapper - A Trapper Build that uses Lightning Sentry to range enemies down.
  2. Fire Trapper - An Assassin Build that focuses on the use of Wake of Fire to destroy enemies at range.
  3. Kicker - A melee-based Assassin that attacks very quickly to kill enemies at point blank range.

Assassin Builds for Diablo 2

The Best Assassin Builds in Diablo 2 Resurrected. These Assassin Builds are extremely relevant in 2021, and perfect for your D2 Resurrected experience. Starting with our very own Wake of Fire Assassin Build, which is a Trapper Assassin Build that focuses on dealing damage with Wake of Fire, and working towards more end game focused Builds, you can find what you need on this page. This Build is a very good Leveling Assassin Build, as it works from relatively early on in the game, and can carry you through Normal with ease. If you're new to playing Assassin then this is a great choice for you!

Fire Trapper Assassin Build | Fire Wakening

The Fire Wakening Assassin utilizes fire traps to deal with multiple Enemies at the same time. Each trap laid on the ground will periodically attack all Enemies within range, allowing you to stay at a safe position at all times.

The trap that you will be using for this build it is called Wake of Fire. This trap will periodically spawn triangular-shaped waves of fire which deal massive damage and pass through Enemies.

It is important to note that this build guide is for the first difficulty (Normal) and up to around Lvl 40. You can still run through Nightmare difficulty if you insist, but I wouldn't recommend it, as you'll find much better options at that point in the game.

If you are a new player I strongly recommend you to save the respec that you get from completing the first mission, called Den of Evil. If you do, you'll be able to talk to Akara and respec your character into a different build once you reach Nightmare difficulty.
