Best Diablo 2 Barbarian Builds

1. Whirlwind Barbarian - Uses the Whirlwind Skill to AoE enemies down in large groups.
2. Frenzy Barbarian - Uses Frenzy to attack very very quickly, dealing incredible damage in a short period of time.
3. Gold Finder Barbarian - A Build used to farm Gold very easily.
4. Magic Finder Barbarian - Can be used to farm equipment for other Builds.

Frenzy Barbarian Build | Barbarian Executioner

The Barbarian Executioner uses two Maces at the same time to perform quick, powerful attacks to effectively get rid of individual targets. You'll be using Double Swing and Frenzy as your main Skills, and Mace Mastery to further increase your damage and attack rating.

The Barbarian is widely considered to be one of the most difficult Classes to start Diablo 2 Resurrected. This is due to its limited AoE options during early game, its lack of ranged attacks and the item dependency to remain effective during endgame. While this is true to a certain extent, you can still play the Barbarian effectively on your first Diablo 2 Resurrected run as long as you know where to focus your efforts.

It's important to note that this build will only remain viable through the first difficulty (Normal) and up to around Lvl 40. You can still run through Nightmare difficulty if you insist, but I wouldn't recommend it as you'll find much better options at that point in the game.

If you are a new player, I strongly advise you save the respec that you get from completing the first Quest Den of Evil. By doing so, you will be able to talk to Akara and respec your character into a different build once you reach Nightmare difficulty.

Mercenaries

Act 2 Mercenaries are the best choice for all Classes because of their Paladin auras and the ability to equip Polearms. This is very important, because many powerful Runewords can be created on them, providiing various buffs or debuffing Enemies.

1. Insight - This will be your main way to recover Mana

1. Maces (All rarities. Remember that Clubs, Hammers, Staves, Scepters and Wands are considered Maces)

1. Stealth

Gloves

1. Any Gloves that focus on Life and Resistances will work fine. Attack Rating and Increased Attack Speed are also great mods.

Belt

1. As with Gloves, equip one that boosts Life and Resistances. Attack Rating and Increased Attack Speed are also great mods.

Boots

1. Anything that has Faster Run/Walk as well as Life and Resistances. 

Rings

1.  Anything that has Attack Rating, as well as Life and Resistances. 

Amulets

1. Similar to Rings, if you find any that grants Life, Resistances or Attack Rating you are good to go. + Combat Skills or + Combat Masteries.

Charms

Try to focus on the ones that grant you:

1. Life
2. Resistances
3. Magic Find

Barbarian Build | Whirlwind Barbarian

The Whirlwind Barbarian cuts through his enemies dealing damage on a large AoE. You’ll be using Whirlwind as your main and only attack skill in combination with some ="/Warcries">Shouts.

This Diablo 2 Barbarian Build is intended to be used for Nightmare and Hell difficulties

Level 40 Executioner Stats

1. Strength:Just enough to use your equipment. This will greatly depend on the gear that you are using, and the +Strength that you get from the rest of your equipment.
2. Dexterity: Depending on the type of equipment that you are using you’ll probably have to spend some points here.
3. Vitality: All remaining points should be spent here.
4. Energy: No points required

Mercenaries

You’ll want to get the Act 2 Holy Freeze or Might Mercenary (from Act 2 Nightmare) for this build. The Holy Freeze Aura is great for dealing with large crowds of enemies while the Might Aura will greatly increase your damage.
