Blade Sentinel is an Assassin Skill in Diablo 2. Blade Sentinel is part of the Traps Skill Tree and requires level 6 to be unlocked. Skills usually define a character's playstyle and are divided by Class and Skill Tree. Some Skills have synergies, which provide benefits to other skills on the same Skill Tree.
This skill allows the Assassin to throw a razor-sharp device that flies back and forth
between the Assassin and its target, slicing any hostile creatures in its path.
Blade Sentinel Information
Effect
- Set a Spinning Blade to patrol between you and target point.
- Cast Delay: 1 seconds Before Patch 2.4 was 2 seconds.
- Blade sentinel will not trigger % chance to cast on striking nor % chance to cast on attack effects, and will not apply open wounds.
- Blade sentinel is indeed dependant on your attack rating although that's not displayed. Check your chances of hitting a monster with a normal attack to determine your chance with Blade Sentinel.
Important Note: With the release of Patch 2.4 this skill has suffered some changes:
- Casting Delay will no longer share its cooldown with other skills that have Casting Delays
- Tooltip updated to now display Casting Delay
- Missile speed increased by 20%
- Weapon Damage increased from 37% to 75%
