The Countess is a Super Unique Monster in Diablo 2. Super Unique Monsters are special enemies, with an individual name and set of abilities. They have greater stats compared to Normal Monsters but also leave better loot when defeated. The Countess can be found at Forgotten Tower in Act 1.
The Countess Information
The Countess was once bathed in the rejuvenating blood of a hundred virgins and buried alive. The Countess must be defeated to complete The Forgotten Tower quest. She'll drop the Key of Terror if she's defeated at Hell difficulty which can be used to access to the Pandemonium Event.
The Countess Rune Drops
The Countess has a 100% chance to drop between 1 and 3 Runes each time you kill her. The rune level will depend on the difficulty that you are currently playing.
- Normal: El (Lvl 1) up to Ral (Lvl 19)
- Nightmare: El (Lvl 1) up to Io (Lvl 35) - Ko (Lvl 39)
- Hell: El (Lvl 1) up to Ist (Lvl 51) - Lo (Lvl 59)
How to make a Countess Run?
Countess runs are one of the most reliable ways to farm runes in the game. The quickest way to do it is to use the waypoint to arrive into the Black Marsh. Once there, search for the The Forgotten Tower and head inside. Keep going until you reach the 5th level and kill The Countess to complete the run.
