Lore is a Runewords in Diablo 2. Lore can be applied to Helms and is composed of 2 Runes. Runewords convert Armor or Weapons in Unique Equipment once the required amount of Runes is placed in the correct order, granting said item a fixed set of properties.

+10 To Energy
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
